The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

Responsibility for leading a team within a shift delivering against a range of safety, cost and quality KPIs. Supporting the delivery of operational strategy and will be responsible for successfully managing the delivery of site operations improvement plans., In this role, you will be responsible for continuously improving the quality system to eradicate repeat failures and developing our operations system to maximize performance. You will lead the operations team to enhance plant output and ensure the delivery of customer service plans. Achieving financial budget targets aligned with key performance indicators (KPIs) such as waste, TOS, efficiency, and machine uptime will be crucial. You will work in partnership with site functions and engineering to meet daily, weekly, monthly, and annual targets.

Supporting the creation of a positive working culture through clear and consistent leadership is essential. You will support and develop your team by recognizing and rewarding performance through regular reviews. Motivating and coaching your shift team in effective decision-making, promoting autonomy and accountability, and fostering ownership to enhance engagement at all levels will be key aspects of your role.

You will adhere to and deliver the site labor standard, managing overtime figures in line with the budget. Ensuring that our people are trained to run the lines efficiently and meet legal requirements is vital. You will keep our people safe by ensuring risk assessments, safety inspections, and accident investigations are completed to the correct standards and within the required timescales. Managing absence to deliver budget and resolving any time and attendance or payroll queries will also be part of your responsibilities.

  • Previous experience working as a leader or manager within a Shift Operations function within in FMCG, with an understanding of manufacturing excellence.

  • Desirable IOSH, with a strong, demonstrable appreciation of H&S

  • Ideally you will have a Food Safety / Hygiene Qualification, but this is not essential as happy to consider candidates from outside of the food / drink sector with the relevant manufacturing management experience.

  • Ideally candidates will have a manufacturing excellence qualification / or be Lean Sigma Green Belt certified, etc., and will possess a strong willingness to develop their knowledge and experience in this aspect.
