FBC UK is the result of a strategic merger between Fox's Biscuits and Burton's Biscuits. Together we own iconic brands such as Maryland, Fox's, Jammie Dodger and Rocky. Our eight bakeries across the UK produce biscuits for the nation's biggest retailers. With nearly 4,000 colleagues, we are committed to inclusivity, learning, and the growth of our people.
We are looking for a Site Operations Development Manager to support the Area Plant in implementing the Master Plan and driving continuous improvement at our North West bakeries. As a change agent you will coordinate crossâfunctional projects, connect plant teams with central functions, and manage governance to ensure operational excellence.
Main Responsibilities- Industrial Masterplan
- Define, develop, and optimise a balanced, highâperforming industrial footprint through strategic inputs and business plans.
- Implement industrialâlevel guidelines from the strategic plan, proposing footprint improvements and optimisation opportunities.
- Act as the operational driver for the Plant, shaping the evolution of the FBC UK industrial model in collaboration with Operations Development, Area Plant, Engineering, Finance and R&D.
- Projects Coordination & Integration Initiatives
- Serve as PMO for crossâfunctional plant projects, ensuring consistency and alignment across initiatives.
- Drive integration programmes within the Plant, acting as a facilitator to strengthen collaboration between plants, local teams and central functions.
- Oversee the implementation of Plant Master Plan initiatives in coordination with Operations Development.
- Ensure timely followâup and reporting on initiative results.
- Systems & Methodologies
- Lead the development and optimisation of processes, systems, methods and guidelines to achieve industrial excellence with a geographic perspective.
- Integrate new industrial models and promote common objectives across the organisation.
- Create conditions for effective factory organisation and continuous improvement of the production system.
- Extensive experience in manufacturing or industrial operations, with a leadership role.
- Proven track record of driving continuous improvement initiatives and achieving operational excellence.
- Strong experience in multiâplant coordination and crossâfunctional project management.
- Solid background in financial analysis for industrial investments.
- Exposure to strategic planning and organisational development.
- Degree in Engineering, Industrial Management or equivalent.
- Certifications in Lean Six Sigma, Project Management (PMP/Prince2) or similar.
- Advanced knowledge of ERP systems and manufacturing IT tools.
