About the Role: We have a role for a Hygiene Manager to join our fantastic Blackpool Bakery team. As the Site Hygiene Manager, you will work to ensure that the hygienic status of the plant is maintained to support high standards of FBC products.
- Define, implement, and maintain cleaning schedules and records across the Bakery
- Provide direction and support to the Hygiene Team and Operations Teams
- Work with Operations and Plant Planning teams to ensure cleaning processes are included during planning cycles
- Define pest control activities to guarantee appropriate sanitary conditions within the working environment
- Support and guide hygiene culture improvement plans
- Identify latest techniques for hygiene and pest control practices
- Ensure that the facility complies with all relevant legislation, customer, and partnership codes of practice and certification bodies
- Ensure all employees are appropriately trained, including new employees
- Interact with hygiene and related suppliers/contractors and set improvement plans
- Drive continuous improvement in cleaning methods and standards across the Bakery
- Manage the hygiene budget within the Technical Department
Who we are looking for:
- Proven experience in a similar Hygiene Manager role, ideally within FMCG
- Hold or be working towards IOSH qualification
- Level 3 Food Safety qualification is preferred
- Experience in consistently delivering high hygiene standards across site
- Passion for hygiene and technical safety
- Experience working with third-party support functions
- Experience collaborating with Health, Safety & Environment teams to ensure compliance and risk management
- The ability to influence and engage at all levels within the organization
- Prompt to act and deliver results quickly
- Self-motivated and autonomous work approach
- Strong time management and multi-tasking skills
- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills
- Flexibility with hours/days to meet business needs
