Location: Foxhills Club & Resort, Ottershaw, Surrey

Type: Variable - flexible based on the operating hours of the crèche and compliance requirements (this will be discussed with shortlisted candidates)

Responsibilities

  • To provide the highest quality of care, wellbeing and education for all children in the crèche, in line with Ofsted regulations.
  • Leading the crèche team and promoting best practice of childcare and health and safety.
  • Managing the records and childcare details for all bookings.
  • Ensuring and maintaining a safe and secure environment from arrival to departure of the children.
  • Planning, developing and supervising a variety of suitable and engaging activities for children in the crèche according to their ages and abilities.
  • Be responsible for carrying out and maintaining risk assessments of the premises and equipment.
  • Ensuring that first aid, security and health and safety procedures are followed within the crèche area.
  • Maintaining and cleaning of all equipment and maintaining excellent hygiene standards.
  • Undertaking and assisting with basic hygiene, nappy changing and toilet training.
  • Maintaining complete confidentiality of any information regarding children, families, volunteers or staff.
  • Liaise with parents/carers in a supportive, non-judgmental manner.
  • Ensuring a customer focused service is delivered, upholding and demonstrating the Foxhills Collection Values at all times.

Requirements

  • Level 3 Qualification or equivalent in Childcare/Early Years.
  • Current Paediatric First Aid certificate.
  • Experience of working in a crèche/childcare setting in a leadership role or similar.
  • Experience of working with/caring for young children.
  • Knowledge of child development and appropriate play activities for young children.
  • Understanding of, and commitment to supporting parents in meeting the needs of their children.
  • Competent in using the computer and Office computer packages.
  • Ability and willingness to work as part of a team.
  • Willingness to partake in training sessions or course.
  • Satisfactory enhanced disclosure from the DBS.
