Responsibilities:
- To provide the highest quality of care, wellbeing and education for all children in the crèche, in line with Ofsted regulations.
- Leading the crèche team and promoting best practice of childcare and health and safety.
- Managing the records and childcare details for all bookings.
- Ensuring and maintaining a safe and secure environment from arrival to departure of the children.
- Planning, developing and supervising a variety of suitable and engaging activities for children in the crèche according to their ages and abilities.
- Be responsible for carrying out and maintaining risk assessments of the premises and equipment.
- Ensuring that first aid, security and health and safety procedures are followed within the crèche area.
- Maintaining and cleaning of all equipment and maintaining excellent hygiene standards.
- Undertaking and assisting with basic hygiene, nappy changing and toilet training.
- Maintaining complete confidentiality of any information regarding children, families, volunteers or staff.
- Liaise with parents/carers in a supportive, non-judgmental manner.
- Ensuring a customer focused service is delivered, upholding and demonstrating the Foxhills Collection Values at all times.
Requirements:
- Level 3 Qualification or equivalent in Childcare/Early Years.
- Current Paediatric First Aid certificate.
- Experience of working in a crèche/childcare setting in a leadership role or similar.
- Experience of working with/caring for young children.
- Knowledge of child development and appropriate play activities for young children.
- Understanding of, and commitment to supporting parents in meeting the needs of their children.
- Competent in using the computer and Office computer packages.
- Ability and willingness to work as part of a team.
- Willingness to partake in training sessions or course.
- Satisfactory enhanced disclosure from the DBS.
