Foxhills Collection is currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Greenkeeper to join our team and contribute to the upkeep of our stunning courses at our prestigious establishment.
Location: Foxhills Collection, Ottershaw, Surrey
Type: Full-time
About Us: Foxhills Collection is renowned for its luxurious accommodations, exquisite dining experiences, and unparalleled hospitality. Located in Ottershaw, our establishment caters to discerning guests from around the world, offering an unforgettable experience marked by elegance and sophistication.
Responsibilities:
- Switching and brushing greens
- Mowing
- Scarifying turf
- Applying top dressing, pesticides, fertiliser
- Divotting
- Irrigating, aerating turf
- Identifying and controlling pests, diseases
- Marking of hazards out of bounds
- Moving tee blocks
- Changing holes
- Maintaining course furniture
- Reporting machine failures
- Laying drains
- Seedbed preparation
- Construction and maintenance of tees, greens, bunkers
- Establishing and maintaining trees
- Working within the club's environmental policy
- Maintaining a clean and tidy working environment including sheds, surrounds, machinery and equipment
- Working within health & safety guidelines
- Reporting dangerous situations
- Driving all terrain vehicles
- Being courteous to our members and answering any questions they may have while on the course
- Identifying and notifying senior members of staff about any disease or damage
Requirements:
- Previous experience in greenkeeping
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Prepared to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Must work in a way that abides by all health and safety legislation
- Be able to follow instructions and work well both independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work shifts including early mornings, weekends, and holidays where needed
