You'll be the steady, sensible HR presence keeping everything moving across a mixed office and site-based workforce. Reporting to the senior HR lead, trusted to use your judgement, and given the room to just get on with it.

The Role

  • Running cases properly from start to finish, with the paperwork to back it up: investigation notes, outcome letters and the rest.
  • Teaming up with Occupational Health to get the right support and adjustments in place.
  • Keeping contracts, records and HR reporting accurate and current.

Where you'll add real value

  • Getting the right people through the door by supporting with recruitment and giving new starters an induction worth turning up for.
  • Helping managers apply policies consistently, and refreshing those policies where they've fallen behind.
  • Being a visible HR presence in site and project meetings.
  • Picking up improvement work as the assignment settles in.

You'll Flourish if You Have

  • CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent experience).
  • A solid generalist HR background with real employee relations casework behind you.
  • Confident working knowledge of employment law and good HR practice.
  • A calm head for juggling several pieces of casework at once.
  • Clear, straightforward communication and the knack of bringing managers with you.
  • Experience in busy, operational settings (construction, manufacturing, engineering, logistics or similar would suit well).
