Foxgroves Recruitment are working exclusively with a well-established Group business with interests across construction, civils, plant, rail, utilities, and more to find their next forward-thinking HR Advisor.

We are looking for an HR professional who has a calm and supportive attitude and is able to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when required. You will be joining a small but mighty HR team and working for an experienced HR Manager who will act as a supportive and inspiring mentor as you develop your career.

Our client is offering the successful candidate the opportunity to continue with their CIPD studies should they wish (following probation) and the following benefits:

What you will be doing:

  • Managing employee records, contracts, payroll changes, absences, and training files - always GDPR compliant
  • Handling HR administration: offer letters, onboarding packs, and employee correspondence
  • Coordinating recruitment: job adverts, interview scheduling, shortlisting, and pre-employment checks
  • Supporting new starters with onboarding and induction
  • Providing first-line HR advice to managers on policy, process, and best practice
  • Supporting employee relations: investigations, disciplinaries, grievances, absence management, and minute-taking
  • Assisting with policy reviews, audits, and compliance documentation
  • Helping with training and development tracking, renewals, and apprentice/trainee management
  • Maintaining HR systems and driving improvements in HR processes

What you will bring:

  • Previous experience in HR administration or advisory roles
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information
  • Good working knowledge of HR processes and basic employment law
  • Confident IT user (HR systems, Microsoft Office)
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • CIPD Level 3 or 5 (or studying towards) is a plus
  • Experience in construction, multi-site, or similar environments is desirable but not essential
