We are seeking a qualified and experienced Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) Coach to join our professional coaching team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality BJJ instruction to students of varying skill levels, from beginners to advanced competitors, while maintaining a safe, structured, and motivating training environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct structured Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes for adults and youth, including gi and no-gi programs
- Develop and implement progressive training program tailored to different experience levels
- Provide technical instruction, live drilling, and supervised sparring sessions
- Monitor student progress and provide individual coaching feedback
- Prepare athletes for competitions
- Ensure all training sessions adhere to gym safety policies and best practices
- Assist with gym events, seminars, and promotional activities when required
- Maintain a clean training environment for members
Requirements
- Recognised Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt
- Minimum 5 years of coaching and/or competitive BJJ experience
- Strong technical knowledge of gi and no-gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
- Ability to teach students of varying ages, fitness levels, and experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work at noon and evenings on weekdays and on Saturday mornings
Preferred Qualifications
- Competition coaching experience
- Experience working with youth and beginners
- Relevant coaching certifications or sports education background
