THE ROLE
We’re looking for a full-time Quilting Pattern Writer to create easy-to-follow quilting patterns. Design simple, aesthetic quilt projects and turn them into clear, concise instructions that make even first-timers feel like pros. You don’t have to be a best-selling author, but you do need to be able to write different level patterns.
What You’ll Do
- Design creative quilting projects that fit within a Mrs Quilty format.
- Write different level patterns.
- Write detailed step-by-step instructions for the Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced versions of each pattern.
- Include a materials list, finished size, cutting guide, diagrams, assembly instructions, and helpful tips.
- Collaborate with our internal team for feedback, testing, and final polishing.
- Meet deadlines and deliver clean, well-formatted work without hand-holding.
Who You Are
- You’ve got real quilting experience and have created original patterns before.
- You know how to teach through writing and are clear, practical, and easy to follow.
- You’re reliable, proactive, and organized – no disappearing acts.
- Bonus points if you have experience with pattern layout/design tools or basic illustration/diagramming, particularly if you’re proficient in InDesign.
Compensation
Up to 2,500 euros + taxes on a full-time basis.
How To Apply
Send us:
- A short intro: Who you are + why you’d be a great fit
- 1–2 sample quilt patterns (PDFs or links)
- Photos of your past quilting projects or a link to your IG/portfolio
Let’s create something that quilters at every level will actually want to make.
