We are currently looking to recruit a skilled mobile heavy plant fitter to join our team in East Sussex. This role will include maintaining and repairing a variety of mechanical equipment, from a petrol saw to a 23 tonne excavator. Your duties would include but not be limited to:
- Conduct equipment repairs and maintenance tasks as assigned
- Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot issues
- Utilise mechanical knowledge to diagnose problems and implement solutions
- Perform electrical repairs and installations
- Use hand tools proficiently for various tasks
- Dig into equipment systems to identify and rectify faults
- Weld components as needed
Role Requirements:
- Proven experience in plant repair and maintenance
- Strong mechanical knowledge
- Proficiency in electrical systems troubleshooting and repair
- Skillful use of hand tools for mechanical work
- Capable of maintaining accurate and up to date records of work performed
- Good communication skills with the office as well as on site staff
- Can do attitude and willingness to go above and beyond
