We are currently looking to recruit a skilled mobile heavy plant fitter to join our team in East Sussex. This role will include maintaining and repairing a variety of mechanical equipment, from a petrol saw to a 23 tonne excavator. Your duties would include but not be limited to:

  • Conduct equipment repairs and maintenance tasks as assigned
  • Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot issues
  • Utilise mechanical knowledge to diagnose problems and implement solutions
  • Perform electrical repairs and installations
  • Use hand tools proficiently for various tasks
  • Dig into equipment systems to identify and rectify faults
  • Weld components as needed

Role Requirements:

  • Proven experience in plant repair and maintenance
  • Strong mechanical knowledge
  • Proficiency in electrical systems troubleshooting and repair
  • Skillful use of hand tools for mechanical work
  • Capable of maintaining accurate and up to date records of work performed
  • Good communication skills with the office as well as on site staff
  • Can do attitude and willingness to go above and beyond
