The opportunity We are looking to recruit a Finance Associate to support our market leading FinTech and Structured Finance team. The role will be working closely with Partners Jonathan Segal and Ed Bellamy, advising both established and new FinTech lending platforms and funders. Typical clients include UK and European lending platforms (both corporate and consumer lending), challenger banks and credit funds.

The role is suitable for a banking and finance, structured finance, DCM, real estate finance or asset finance lawyer looking to expand their repertoire of legal skills to become a lawyer equipped to service the needs of a technologically-driven financial services market.

The work is split between the product side (helping FinTech platforms structure and document new consumer and SME credit products), and the funding side (structuring and documenting warehouse lines (based on LMA documents) and private securitisations). This is a unique, client-facing role, with an opportunity to work with leading customer-facing FinTech brands, such as Revolut, iwoca and Allica Bank.

In addition, we are offering the opportunity to immerse yourself in the wider FinTech community and generate your own network and business opportunities in the FinTech space, and become part of an entrepreneurial and collaborative cross-departmental team.

Responsibilities Typical workload would include:

  • Structuring and drafting standard term corporate and consumer lending and security documentation for lending platforms.
  • Structuring lending platforms from a regulatory and commercial perspective.
  • Structuring and drafting debt issuances and wholesale funding lines for lending platforms.
