Job Purpose: Assist in overall production and dispatch of customer orders, ensuring accurate and prompt packing in line with orders. Includes general duties to maintain efficient working of the warehouse.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Put food sachets into cardboard cartons.
- Count exact amount of sachets and input into food packaging correctly.
- Fold lids onto each box.
- Maintain packing targets and work efficiently as part of the team.
- Report any problems or issues immediately to line manager.
- Pick and pack customer orders to achieve agreed turnaround targets using suitable packaging products.
- Keep warehouse and outside forecourts clean and tidy, keeping gangways clear.
- Observe and comply with high levels of health and safety.
- Be adaptable and flexible in approach to work.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Fit for active work in a warehouse setting.
- Experience with regular repetitive light work.
- Attention to detail.
- Good numeracy skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Knowledge and application of health and safety regulations.
Physical Requirements:
- Work in temperatures of 4°C, wearing gloves and warm clothing.
- Ability to stand for long periods, move considerable distance daily on a hard surface, and complete repetitive tasks.
