Our client is looking for Line Operatives for a local company based in Peterborough. Hours Monday to Friday 06.00-14.00pm or 14.30-22.30pm. Overtime is available at time and a quarter with double time on Sundays.
Job Purpose
To assist in the overall production and dispatch of customer's orders. To provide accurate and prompt packing of goods in line with the orders. The job also includes other general duties to maintain the efficient working of the Warehouse.
Key duties and responsibilities
- Putting food sachets into cardboard cartons.
- Count exact amount of sachets and input into food packaging correctly.
- Fold lids onto each box.
- Must be able to keep up to packing targets.
- To work efficiently as part of the team to achieve targets as outlined by manager.
- To report any problems or issues immediately to line manager.
- Pick and pack customer orders to achieve agreed turn-round targets and using suitable packaging products.
- Keep warehouse and outside forecourts clean and tidy, keeping gangways clear.
- To observe and comply with high levels of Health and safety.
- To be adaptable and flexible in approach to work.
Experience Required
- Fit for active work in a Warehouse setting.
- Regular repetitive light work.
- Require attention to detail.
- Good standards of numeracy.
- Basic computer skills.
- Understand and apply Health and Safety Regulations.
Physical requirements
- This role requires working in temperatures of 4 degrees and wear gloves with warm clothing.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and/or moving some considerable distance on a daily basis on a hard surface.
- Ability to complete repetitive tasks.
