Counterbalance Forklift Driver / Production Operative in Corby

Our client urgently requires a Counterbalance Forklift Driver / Production Operative working for a local company based in Corby. Hours are rotating shifts of Monday to Friday – 06:00-13:30pm and 13:30-21:00pm.

Key Responsibilities

• Material Handling: Loading and unloading goods from lorries and transporting them to designated storage areas.
• Inventory Management: Stacking and unstacking————————————————- goods on high-reaching shelves or in storage bays, and using radio-frequency (RF) scanners to track stock movements.
• Safety & Maintenance: Performing daily pre-shift safety checks on equipment, reporting faults, and ensuring work areas are free of spills or obstructions.
• Documentation: Completing paperwork such as delivery notes, stock control logs, and manifest checks.
• General Support: Assisting with manual handling (lifting up to 20-25kg), order picking, and packing shipments.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Certification: A valid Counterbalance forklift operating certificate.
• Excellent spatial awareness, hand-eye coordination, and the ability to remain calm in fast-paced or stressful environments.
• Technical Literacy: Basic computer or handheld pukqv ation\\s for inventory management software.
