Urgently required a Business Development Manager for a Head Office company based in Peterborough. This role is on the road / field based in the Birmingham area. Hours are Monday to Friday pm. This role is permanent and company car is included.

Job Purpose

A business development and sales role involves a dual focus on generating immediate revenue and cultivating long-term strategic growth opportunities for the company.

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead Generation and Prospecting: Researching markets and industry trends to identify potential new clients, partners, and untapped opportunities. This involves cold calling, email campaigns, social media outreach, and networking at industry events.
  • Client Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting relationships with both prospective and existing clients to ensure satisfaction, encourage repeat business, and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.
  • Sales Strategy and Execution: Developing and implementing effective sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets and quotas. This includes planning sales campaigns, creating sales pipelines, and forecasting sales targets.
  • Pitching and Negotiation: Preparing and delivering compelling presentations and proposals tailored to a client's needs. Negotiating contract terms and closing deals to secure new business.
  • Market Analysis and Reporting: Monitoring market dynamics, competitor activities, and sales performance metrics. Preparing reports for management to inform strategic decision-making and adjust plans as necessary.
  • Collaboration: Working closely with internal teams, such as marketing, product development, and finance, to ensure a seamless customer experience and align offerings with market demands.
