We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Residential Conveyancing Solicitor with approximately 5 years Post-Qualified Experience (PQE) to join our busy property department. The successful candidate will manage a full caseload of residential property transactions from instruction through to completion, delivering high-quality legal services and maintaining excellent client care standards.

You will play a key role within the team, supporting junior staff where appropriate, contributing to departmental growth, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and professional obligations.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a full caseload of residential conveyancing matters including:
    • Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
    • Re-mortgages
    • Transfers of equity
    • New build transactions
    • Shared ownership matters (if applicable)
  • Handle files from instruction through to post-completion independently
  • Conduct all necessary legal due diligence, including title checks and searches
  • Draft and review contracts, transfer deeds, and supporting documentation
  • Liaise effectively with clients, estate agents, lenders, and other solicitors
  • Provide clear, timely, and commercially sound legal advice
  • Ensure compliance with AML regulations, SRA Code of Conduct, and firm policies
  • Meet individual and departmental billing targets
  • Maintain accurate time recording and file management
  • Support and supervise junior fee earners or paralegals where required
  • Contribute to process improvements and efficiency within the department
