We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Residential Conveyancing Solicitor with approximately 5 years Post-Qualified Experience (PQE) to join our busy property department. The successful candidate will manage a full caseload of residential property transactions from instruction through to completion, delivering high-quality legal services and maintaining excellent client care standards.
You will play a key role within the team, supporting junior staff where appropriate, contributing to departmental growth, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and professional obligations.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a full caseload of residential conveyancing matters including:
- Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
- Re-mortgages
- Transfers of equity
- New build transactions
- Shared ownership matters (if applicable)
- Handle files from instruction through to post-completion independently
- Conduct all necessary legal due diligence, including title checks and searches
- Draft and review contracts, transfer deeds, and supporting documentation
- Liaise effectively with clients, estate agents, lenders, and other solicitors
- Provide clear, timely, and commercially sound legal advice
- Ensure compliance with AML regulations, SRA Code of Conduct, and firm policies
- Meet individual and departmental billing targets
- Maintain accurate time recording and file management
- Support and supervise junior fee earners or paralegals where required
- Contribute to process improvements and efficiency within the department
Key Skills:
- Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with approximately 5 years PQE in residential conveyancing
- Proven ability to run a busy, high-volume caseload independently
- Strong technical knowledge of residential property law and procedures
- Excellent client care and communication skills
