Travel: The role involves travel during school holidays and the summer to varying destinations.
Live-in Arrangement: This is a live-in position. Each nanny will work with both boys simultaneously while on duty.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full Childcare: Ensuring the well-being and safety of the children at all times.
- Educational Support: Supervising and supporting English homework.
- Language Development (French Nanny): Providing French language immersion for both boys.
- For the 5 yo: Building French skills from the ground up.
- For the 7 yo: Maintaining and developing existing French skills.
- Daily Organisation: Tidying children's areas and maintaining general order.
- Additional Tasks: Shopping for children's essentials (gifts, cards, vitamins, creams, books, etc.) as agreed with the mother.
- Note on Household Tasks: Cooking, laundry, and ironing are not required.
Daily Routine & Activities:
The parents value independence, routine, and schoolwork consistency. Nannies are expected to encourage children to do things for themselves while remaining supportive.
School Hours: Boys leave at 7:45 am (parents handle the school run when in London) and return between 3:00 pm and 3:30 pm.
Afternoon Structure: Extracurricular activities, outdoor time/walks, supervised homework, dinner, bath, and bedtime routine.
Requirements:
- Experience: Highly desirable to have worked with Russian-speaking families (Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, etc.) and have prior live-in experience.
- Stability: A proven track record of staying with a single family for at least 2–3 years.
- Languages: The French nanny must be fluent in English.
- Personal Qualities: Team player (to work with housekeepers and drivers), warm, optimistic, calm, even-tempered, and approachable.
- Driving: A driving license is not required.
- Employment Status: Self-employed basis.
- Household Staff: The household includes a live-in housekeeper, a live-out housekeeper, and three live-out drivers.
