Job Role & Responsibilities
In this Mid‑Level NetSuite Functional Consultant role, you will be critical in delivering successful projects and supporting our clients’ ongoing needs. Your responsibilities will include:
- Client Requirements & Solution Design: Work directly with clients to gather business requirements, understand their processes, and design tailored NetSuite solutions.
- NetSuite Configuration: Configure and customize NetSuite (forms, fields, workflows, dashboards, reports) to meet client requirements and improve business processes.
- Collaboration with Technical Team: Collaborate with our technical consultants/developers to define specifications for custom development, integrations, and any SuiteScript needs (translating functional needs into technical specs).
- Workshops & Training: Lead client workshops and user training sessions to ensure successful adoption of NetSuite, and that end‑users are comfortable with new systems and features.
- Data Migration & Testing: Assist clients with data migration activities, develop test cases, and conduct system testing/UAT to ensure solutions are robust and ready for go‑live.
- Go‑Live Support: Provide hands‑on support during deployment/go‑live, troubleshooting issues and adjusting configurations as needed for a smooth transition.
- Post‑Implementation Support: Serve as a trusted advisor after implementation by providing ongoing support, answering user questions, and offering best‑practice guidance to maximize NetSuite value.
Required Experience
We are looking for a consultant with the following background:
- 2–5 years of NetSuite functional consulting experience (or similar ERP functional experience) implementing and supporting NetSuite for end‑users.
- Strong NetSuite module knowledge – solid understanding of NetSuite Financials (Accounting/ERP), Order Management (Sales Orders/Purchase Orders), CRM, and Reporting/Analytics.
- Business Requirements & Process Mapping: Proven experience working with business users to gather requirements, document workflows/business processes, and translate them into NetSuite functionality.
- Hands‑on NetSuite Configuration: Ability to perform hands‑on setup in NetSuite – creating custom fields/forms, workflows (SuiteFlow), saved searches and reports, role permissions, etc.
- Project Lifecycle Exposure: Involvement in multiple NetSuite implementation phases (requirements, design, testing, training, go‑live); comfortable juggling different tasks in a small team environment.
- Communication Skills: Excellent client‑facing communication and interpersonal skills. Able to lead meetings and training, and explain NetSuite concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Problem‑Solving: A detail‑oriented and proactive mindset for troubleshooting issues and ensuring high‑quality deliverables.
