Our Spalding site has an exciting opportunity for a Transport Team Leader to join our friendly team on a full-time permanent basis. As the Transport Team Leader, you will be responsible for the daily planning of Company and third-party resources, ensuring that all vehicles and drivers are given clear precise instruction, and are fully utilised.

Shift: 4 on 4 off nights, 7pm-7am.

Salary: £35,000- £39,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Key Duties of a Transport Team Leader:

  • Oversee the effective application of the Company absence policy and procedures including monitoring of absence levels and conducting return to work discussions.
  • Identify the training and development needs for team members and coach/organise/oversee solutions using own knowledge and company training tools.
  • Agree working patterns with regard to resource requirements and effective utilisation of the needs of all sites considered and confirm at least two weeks in advance.
  • Plan the effective utilisation of drivers, vehicles, sub-contractors and agencies ensuring that all Company sites are fully considered when doing so.
  • Ensure that people under your control work within a safe environment and follow driver hours regulations when driving.
