Lead a new fund, scale a portfolio of recruitment businesses, and own equity in every one of them. Most senior leaders in recruitment get one shot at building value, usually in someone else’s business. This role gives you that chance across several businesses at once, with clear routes to exit.

About Fourteen

Fourteen is changing how recruitment businesses are started, funded and scaled. We’re a hybrid venture capital group that invests only in recruitment start‑ups. We back top recruiters to launch agencies of their own, giving them the capital, the platform and the ownership to do it properly. In a short time we’ve built a portfolio of specialist businesses across life sciences, frontier technology, cyber security, infrastructure and insurance. More founders are in the pipeline, and our ambitions are big.

The role

Fourteen has launched a new fund, Fourteen Capital Partners, and we are appointing a Chief Revenue Officer to lead it. This is a senior, hands‑on leadership role. You will be accountable for the growth of the fund and every business within it, and you will work closely with founders as their trusted senior partner.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Fund leadership: Lead and grow Fourteen Capital Partners, taking ownership of its performance and its direction.
  • Board and performance management: Chair the monthly board meetings of each portfolio business. Agree revenue targets, budgets and P&Ls with founders, and support them in getting there.
  • Founder development: Coach and mentor founders to become strong business leaders, from experienced operators to first‑time business owners.
  • Talent and growth: Drive talent and growth across the portfolio, working alongside Fourteen’s dedicated talent and founder function.
  • New investment: Work with our Head of Founder and Talent to bring new founders and businesses into your fund and support them through launch and early growth.
  • Group leadership: Sit on Fourteen’s Operating Board and Investment Committee. You will contribute to group strategy with the CEO and COO and help decide which founders Fourteen backs.
  • Market profile: Act as the face of the fund, building its reputation and network across the UK and international recruitment markets.

About you

You are an established recruitment leader who may have progressed from billing into building and growing teams or businesses. You may have opened an office, launched a new market or built a team from the ground up. You have managed a P&L, grown revenue and headcount, and been accountable for the results. You are ambitious and ready for your next step: a role that offers genuine ownership and a clear route to exit.

We are looking for:

  • A proven growth record: You have scaled recruitment businesses, with results you can show in revenue, profit and people.
  • Entrepreneurial experience: You have launched new markets, built new teams or opened international offices, and you are comfortable operating in founder‑led environments.
  • Commercial and financial strength: You have a strong grasp of P&L management, budgeting and forecasting.
  • Credibility with high performers: You can coach, advise and constructively challenge successful billers as they become business owners.
  • Market presence: You have a visible profile and a strong network across the UK and international recruitment markets.
  • Strategic and operational range: You are equally at ease shaping strategy at board level and working through the detail with founders.

You’ll earn a competitive base and hold equity in every business within your fund. As your businesses grow, your stake grows with them. You can realise that value in several ways: the sale of a single business, the sale of the fund, or a wider exit of the group. This isn’t another leadership role inside a single agency. It’s the chance to operate as a venture leader across a portfolio and create real wealth from what you build.
