The Context

How film and TV content is produced is rapidly changing - AI tools are starting to show up inside real production workflows, and studios are working out what that means for quality, speed, and hiring. Since 2018, we have recruited the specialist talent behind feature films and premium TV series made for global streaming platforms and major studios. Our industry is growing and we're looking to appoint an Associate Recruitment Consultant to meet the demands of the industry. You'll learn a niche market, speak to hard-to-reach people, and build a network that turns into hires.

The types of work you'll recruit for:

  • Feature films and premium TV series for global platforms
  • VFX-heavy productions with large teams and tight deadlines
  • Virtual production shoots (The video walls that display video content behind global performing artists)
  • Production tech and pipeline teams bringing AI tools into the process

The Associate Recruitment Consultant role

This is a sales role. The difference is what you're selling. You're not selling a product. You're building trust with industry specialists.

Day to day, you'll:

  • Identify the right professionals: research studios, teams and tools to work out who's doing the work, not just who has the job title
  • Start conversations: outreach via social media channels, email and phone to learn what someone wants next
  • Run screening calls: ask smart questions, take clear notes, and represent candidates properly
  • Manage the process: interviews, prep, feedback, offers, and keeping everyone updated
  • Use our systems: CRM plus automation to stay organised and cut admin

Training and progression

We'll take you through a coached, structured training programme with day-to-day support. The aim is to get you running live candidate processes quickly, so you're starting to earn consistent commission within your first 8 weeks.

What we're looking for:

Experience as a Recruitment Consultant is not required. We care about pace, judgement, and how you communicate.

You’ll do well if you:

  • Have worked in a target-led role (lettings, estate agency, B2B sales, fundraising, sales in hospitality, customer success with targets)
  • Don't mind picking up the phone and talking to people
  • Stay organised and keep on top of follow-ups
  • Can handle rejection and keep going without taking it personally
  • Like TV/films and have an interest in technology
  • Prefer a culture where results matter more than an office with fake grass and a ping pong table

Package:

  • Base salary: £23,000 - £26,000 (depending on experience)
  • Commission: uncapped and transparent
  • Holiday: 25 days, Christmas shutdown, your birthday off
  • Pension
  • Incentives: monthly lunch clubs in Manchester and an annual trip for top performers

If you're looking for your first Associate Recruitment Consultant role in recruitment, where you'll build real commercial skills, learn a specialist market fast, and get paid for outputs, you'll love it here and will be very successful. Click apply for more information and we'll be in touch.
