Fourblue have teamed up with a leading ICP, known for their innovative approach and commitment to excellence in delivering a variety of services within the utilities sector, including high voltage connections, maintenance, and multiple utility connections for electricity, gas, water, telecoms, and EV charging. As they continue to expand, they are seeking a talented individual to join their estimating team.

The Role

You will be responsible for compiling multi-utility tenders, ensuring commercial and technical accuracy, and fostering strong relationships with clients. Your role will involve offering technical advice, managing face-to-face client meetings, and ensuring that all bids are error-free and well-articulated.

Responsibilities of the Tendering Engineer:

  • Lead tender design, proposal creation, and estimation for multi-utility projects
  • Assist the Senior Sales & Tendering Engineer and Regional Sales & Tendering Manager in their duties when required
  • Represent the company professionally and ensure all tenders are completed within agreed timeframes
  • Ensure that successful tenders are handed over promptly to the Design team
  • Manage and mitigate risks during the tendering process
  • Work towards achieving individual and team sales targets
  • Contribute positively to the overall company sales goals
  • Maintain sales and project handover documentation in line with the company’s business management system

Criteria of the Tendering Engineer:

  • Previous experience in a fast-paced utility, construction, or services engineering sales environment
  • Knowledge of tendering processes in MEICA, utility construction, or T&D networks
  • NVQ Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in technical sales, engineering, or construction, along with relevant experience
  • Understanding of the Construction, Design & Management Regulations 2015
  • Possession of relevant certifications (EUSR/CSCS/ECS, First Aid at Work)
