Sustainability Consultant
Location: London (Hybrid)
Salary: Up to £60,000 DOE
An established engineering, design, and sustainability consultancy is seeking a motivated Sustainability Consultant to join their multi-disciplinary team. The company works on high-profile projects across London and the UK, emphasising sustainable design and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:
The role involves leading projects and providing guidance to junior team members. Key tasks include:
- Leading sustainability aspects of projects and representing the consultancy at client/design team meetings
- Carrying out Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) and Whole Life Carbon assessments using tools such as One Click LCA
- Collaborating with specialists in related disciplines such as vertical transportation, energy modelling, and NABERS assessments
- Producing high-quality reports, meeting minutes, and technical documentation
- Using sustainability tools such as One Click LCA proficiently
- Staying up to date with regulations, standards, and industry guidance
- Reviewing design drawings and specifications to assess environmental performance
- Conducting site inspections and writing detailed reports
- Collaborating with internal teams to deliver high-quality work on time
- Supporting the training and development of junior staff
- Coordinating with other engineering and specialist disciplines
- Managing client expectations effectively and professionally
What We're Looking For:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in sustainability consultancy, ideally in the commercial office sector
- Strong understanding and practical experience with One Click LCA
- Solid knowledge of key industry frameworks and guidance (UKGBC, LETI, RIBA, RICS, GLA)
- Experience across RIBA Stages 2–6 in sectors including commercial, mixed-use, retail, and industrial
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Confident, client-facing personality
Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
- Accredited or experienced in one or more of the following: BREEAM, WELL, Fitwel, ActiveScore, RESET
- Experience producing Sustainability Statements for planning applications
- Familiarity with Circular Economy strategies
- Member (or working toward membership) of IEMA, CIBSE, or equivalent
- UK driving licence
