Fourblue have partnered with a growing ICP who are looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Project Engineer to take a key role in delivering high-voltage renewable energy and grid infrastructure projects across the UK. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven electrical engineer who wants to step into a senior position with real responsibility, technical ownership, and leadership influence.
The Opportunity
In this role, you will lead the end-to-end delivery of complex 11kV to 132kV electrical infrastructure projects, playing a critical part in the design, engineering, and construction of renewable energy systems.
You will act as both a technical expert and delivery lead, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest engineering standards.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you will work across multiple stakeholders, support junior engineers, and take ownership of high-value projects shaping the UK’s energy future.
Responsibilities of the Senior Electrical Project Engineer:
- Leading the delivery of high-voltage electrical projects (typically £1m–£30m)
- Managing projects from early design through to commissioning and handover
- Overseeing technical, commercial, and programme performance
- Ensuring full compliance with health, safety, and engineering standards
- Coordinating procurement, supply chain, and contractor activity
- Acting as a key interface with clients, DNOs, TSOs, suppliers, and partners
- Supporting and mentoring project and design engineers
- Driving engineering excellence and problem-solving across live projects
- Managing budgets, reporting, and project delivery performance
- 5+ years’ experience in HV / electrical engineering or power infrastructure
- Strong background in project delivery or engineering management
- Experience managing budgets, programmes, and supply chains
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to lead teams and coordinate multiple project workstreams
- Electrical Engineering qualification (Degree or HND preferred)
- Full UK driving licence and eligibility to work in the UK
