Fourblue are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a growing tier 1 contractor within their highways and infrastructure team working across essential UK transport projects. This is an opportunity to contribute to the maintenance, renewal, and improvement of critical road networks that support communities and keep people moving safely every day. This role sits within a fast-paced, collaborative environment where safety, quality, and client focus come first. You’ll be part of a team delivering planned maintenance, reactive works, and infrastructure improvement schemes using modern methods and commercial best practice.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Preparing, submitting, and securing approval of monthly payment applications
  • Managing contractual compliance across project delivery
  • Developing and administering target cost contracts, including forecasting and risk management
  • Monitoring project costs against budgets and maintaining strong financial control
  • Producing and analysing cost/value reports and commercial performance updates
  • Managing subcontractor packages, valuations, and final accounts
  • Supporting change management, including pricing, negotiation, and assessment of variations
  • Assisting with tender preparation and procurement strategy development
  • Working closely with operational teams to ensure accurate cost capture and reporting
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support successful project delivery

Criteria for the Quantity Surveyor:

  • Minimum 3 years’ Quantity Surveying experience (infrastructure or civil engineering preferred)
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
  • Strong knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 target cost contracts
  • Experience with CVRs, payment applications, and commercial administration
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (CEMAR / Causeway CPA experience beneficial)
