Project Manager – OHL
Scotland
Circa £85,000 + vehicle/allowance + stay-away package
Fourblue have partnered with a company who specialise in delivering complex electrical infrastructure projects across the UK. Their portfolio includes private networks, IDNO and DNO interface projects, underground and overhead cabling, and EV charging infrastructure. Known for combining technical precision with compliance, they manage the full delivery lifecycle.
They are delivering major infrastructure projects across Scotland and are now looking to strengthen their team with a skilled Project Manager.
This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of complex projects, leading from the front and ensuring safe, high-quality, and on-time delivery. You'll be working on schemes that make a real difference to the UK's energy network while driving forward excellence in safety, sustainability, and performance.
Responsibilities of the Project Manager:
- Leading the delivery of overhead line, cabling or substation projects up to 400kV
- Managing project profit and loss while ensuring works are completed safely, sustainably and to the highest quality standards
- Building strong relationships with clients, suppliers, subcontractors and stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes
- Inspiring, developing and leading your project team with visible leadership and a "one team" culture
- Managing project risks, commercial controls and client expectations
- Supporting the tendering process and identifying opportunities to add value
Criteria for the Project Manager:
- Proven experience in managing transmission projects within overhead lines, cabling or substations (ideally up to 400kV)
- A strong track record of delivering projects safely, on time and within budget
- Excellent leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams
- Commercial awareness with experience in managing contracts, budgets and financial controls
- Strong relationship management and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels
