Electrical Project Engineer X2 Bristol & Glasgow - Travel required Circa £70,000 + car/car allowance + stay away package

With a healthy order book extending 2027, this is an exciting time to join this growing team. You will be working on a variety of projects which include but are not limited to, Renewable Energy sites (wind, solar, BESS & Stor Power), I&C and EV charging up to 132kV. Now seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to join their operational team and support on projects across the UK. This role is vital to the ongoing success of their business where the future is electric.

Responsibilities of the Electrical Project Engineer:

  • Responsibility for effective project management and delivery across a diverse range of electrical HV projects including liaison with clients, consultants, and their representatives
  • Produce project construction programmes and manage activities for the construction programme
  • Attend site project progress, coordination meetings and undertake inspections/audits of site works to monitor quality and progress
  • Manage commercial aspects of projects in line with budgets and forecasting budgets for financial reporting
  • Management of internal and external resources to ensure project goals and customer expectations are met
  • Manage in-house design and engineering teams to generate equipment layouts, designs, cable schedules, testing, and commissioning procedures
  • Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers on design, installation, and commissioning. Obtain competitive tenders from the supply chain
  • Purchase procurement for project
  • Identifying and organising resourcing and logistical requirements for projects
  • Provide proactive support and guidance to all parties on compliance with statutory requirements and company standards

Criteria for the Electrical Project Engineer:

  • Previous experience working with an ICP, IDNO or DNO is required for the role up to a minimum of 33kV
  • Experience with managing projects from a similar industry
  • Degree, HND in Electrical Engineering or similar field
  • Full UK Driving Licence
