Position: Project Manager
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Projects Manager to join our team and lead the delivery of key projects within an Independent Connection Provider (ICP) process, electrical design and build, and substation construction. This is an exciting opportunity to take on a pivotal role overseeing the successful completion of high-voltage (HV) and low-voltage (LV) projects, primarily within the Industrial & Commercial and Renewable Energy sectors.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing the full project lifecycle, including both legal and technical aspects. You will be responsible for delivering projects to the highest standards, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the full satisfaction of our clients.
Responsibilities of the Project Manager:
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of HV and LV projects, including substations, across a variety of sectors, including Industrial & Commercial and Renewable Energy
- Manage the full project lifecycle, from initial scoping and design, through to construction, commissioning, and handover
- Ensure compliance with all legal, safety, and technical requirements throughout the project process
- Work closely with the Contracts Manager to manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively
- Lead project teams, ensuring clear communication and collaboration across all stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and suppliers
- Monitor project progress, identifying and addressing risks or issues that may impact the successful delivery of the project
- Ensure all necessary documentation and reports are completed accurately and in a timely manner
Criteria of the Project Manager:
- A relevant degree or professional qualification in Electrical Engineering, Project Management, or a related field is preferred
- Proven experience as a Projects Manager on 33kV projects, with a strong focus on the ICP process, electrical design and build, and substation construction
- Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., IET, APM) is a plus.
- Knowledge of relevant industry regulations, standards, and best practices
