Steel Frame Package Manager – Data Centre
Experience on data centres, pharmaceutical, cleanroom or other complex/critical infrastructure projects is a must.
Location: Blyth, Northumberland
Rotation: Monday–Friday, or 10/4 for candidates based 3+ hours away
We are looking for an experienced Steel Frame Package Manager to join a major data centre development in Blyth, Northumberland.
Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of the structural steel package from design through to handover.
- Manage steelwork subcontractors, including fabrication, delivery and erection.
- Coordinate steel interfaces with concrete, cladding, roofing, MEP and other CSA packages.
- Review drawings, technical submissions, RFIs and design changes.
- Manage programme, sequencing, logistics, craneage and access requirements.
- Monitor subcontractor progress, productivity and manpower.
- Review RAMS, lifting plans and safe systems of work.
- Ensure all works meet project health, safety and quality requirements.
- Manage inspections, snagging, defects and package close-out.
- Identify programme risks and implement recovery actions where required.
- Provide regular progress updates to the wider project team.
Experience Required
- 5+ years' experience as a Package Manager / Steel Package Manager or similar.
- Main contractor background preferred.
- Experience on data centres, pharmaceutical, cleanroom or other complex/critical infrastructure projects.
- Strong subcontractor management and construction coordination experience.
- HND / Degree background preferred, or significant industry experience having progressed from a trade background.
- UK or Irish passport required. Package Manager (Steel)
Rotation
- Monday–Friday if local
- Candidates based more than approximately three hours from site can work a 10 days on / 4 days off rotation.
- Travel and hotel accommodation provided for the 10/4 rotation, plus a nightly food allowance
