Are you ready to shape the future of energy and infrastructure? We’re looking for an experienced Estimator / Senior Estimator to join a dynamic team delivering cutting-edge Distribution and EV projects across the UK.
This role offers the opportunity to work on essential infrastructure, including EV charging networks, ensuring they are safe, reliable, and seamlessly integrated into the energy network. You’ll work in a hybrid environment, splitting your week between the office in Bootle and remote working.
Responsibilities of the Estimator:
- Assess bid opportunities and lead bid/no-bid evaluations, identifying project risks and potential challenges.
- Prepare accurate estimates from specifications and drawings, including civils BofQ, labour, plant, and materials.
- Assist in tender submissions and deliver post-tender presentations to clients.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure technical and commercial accuracy of proposals.
- Influence improvements and drive change within processes and estimating practices.
Criteria of the Estimator:
- Strong estimating background in civils, including trenching, drainage, ductwork installations, kerbing, and reinforced concrete foundations.
- Experience delivering capital projects and understanding construction sequencing.
- Knowledge of electrical infrastructure, including DNO standards and National Grid requirements.
- Commercial acumen and familiarity with contracts (NEC, ICE, JCT).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and people management skills.
- Organised, proactive, and able to adapt to changing workloads.
