We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support the delivery of a major engineering project in Dublin. Working alongside a multidisciplinary team, you will review technical documentation, assess electrical systems and ensure designs meet project specifications, quality standards and delivery requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Report project progress, risks and issues to the Project Manager.
- Review supplier documentation to ensure compliance with design specifications.
- Interpret electrical schematics, general arrangement (GA) drawings and project specifications.
- Participate in design reviews and validate electrical equipment and systems.
- Prepare and maintain technical submittals, requests for information (RFIs), equipment registers and project trackers.
- Analyse design documentation and identify potential scope gaps or discrepancies.
- Carry out site inspections and system walkdowns to verify compliance with project requirements.
- Work closely with the wider project team to resolve technical issues and maintain project progress.
Requirements
- Relevant third-level qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related electrical discipline is essential.
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience with Revit would be advantageous.
- An electrical trade background would be beneficial.
- Strong technical understanding of electrical systems and design documentation.
- Excellent organisational and planning skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
