Fourblue are working with a leading multidisciplinary consultancy providing energy and environmental engineering services in the built environment. Operating across the UK, EU, and US, we deliver major projects for global brands and institutional funds.
Our client is seeking an Director (Mechanical) to join their expanding MEP teams. This is a career-defining leadership role, giving you the opportunity to lead large-scale projects (up to £200m), manage skilled teams, and deliver outstanding commercial and sustainable engineering outcomes.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead and inspire mechanical engineers across high-value, complex projects.
- Take ownership of project delivery – technical, commercial & client-facing.
- Prepare fee bids, lead business development, and grow client relationships.
- Manage and mentor engineers and technicians, driving excellence in design and delivery.
- Deliver mechanical designs, reports, drawings, and specifications to the highest standard.
- Oversee project finances, resource planning, and quality reviews.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a Director (Mechanical).
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
- Confident in client-facing roles and business development.
- Experience delivering large-scale mechanical engineering projects from inception to completion.
- Skilled in CAD/Revit, IES, Hevacomp, Amtech and BIM project delivery.
- Degree-qualified in a relevant engineering discipline & Chartered Engineer status is preferred.
- Right to work in the UK
