We are looking for an experienced BREEAM Assessor / Sustainability Consultant to support the delivery of sustainability assessments across a range of building and construction projects.
The role will involve coordinating BREEAM assessments, working with multidisciplinary design teams and helping clients achieve their sustainability and certification targets.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinating evidence for BREEAM credits
- Maintaining assessment trackers and action plans
- Supporting pre-assessment, interim and post-construction submissions
- You will review and organise project documentation, monitor outstanding actions and deadlines, and liaise with architects, MEP engineers, contractors and client teams to obtain the information required for successful assessments.
- Attending project and coordination meetings.
- Preparing sustainability reports and project summaries
- Providing clear guidance to project teams on sustainability requirements.
There may also be opportunities to contribute to wider sustainability strategies and assessments, including areas such as LEED, WELL, NABERS, thermal modelling, Part L, daylight and overheating analysis.
The ideal candidate
- Previous experience working on BREEAM-assessed projects, with strong knowledge of BREEAM UK New Construction and excellent organisational and document management skills.
- A relevant degree in sustainability, environmental design, building services engineering or a related discipline would be beneficial, alongside BRE accreditation or a willingness to work towards accreditation.
- Strong communication, report writing, project coordination and Microsoft Excel/Word skills are also important.
