An international energy storage owner-operator is seeking a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Asset Manager to oversee the performance and commercial optimisation of utility-scale battery assets across a global portfolio. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in the long-term value creation of cutting-edge energy infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and analyse real-time asset performance using SCADA/EMS systems
  • Identify and resolve underperformance issues in collaboration with technical teams
  • Manage warranty claims and maintain supplier warranty registers
  • Support market optimisation and trading strategies in coordination with Route to Market providers
  • Review and validate vendor and contractor invoices
  • Oversee site setup including software integration, testing, and commissioning

Requirements:

  • 3+ years’ experience in managing utility-scale BESS or similar power assets
  • Strong knowledge of battery technologies, power electronics, and grid operations
  • Proficient in SCADA/EMS platforms and data analysis tools (e.g., PowerBI, SQL, Excel)
  • Excellent communication and contract management skills
  • Engineering or Energy Systems background preferred
  • Right to work in the UK without sponsorship
