We're partnering with a well-established and highly respected accountancy practice in Dudley that is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Accountant to join their close-knit team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a practice-trained accountant who enjoys a varied role, combining client accountancy work with audit assignments, while also taking ownership of client relationships and supporting the development of junior team members.
The firm works with a broad range of owner-managed businesses, partnerships, sole traders and limited companies, offering exposure to diverse and interesting work.

The Role As a Senior Accountant, you'll be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients while supporting the wider practice across accounts preparation, audit and advisory services.
Key responsibilities will include: Preparing statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships, limited companies and charities Preparing and reviewing management accounts Managing client relationships and acting as a key point of contact Attending client meetings and providing practical business advice Supporting and contributing to audit assignments Reviewing bookkeeping work and overseeing junior team members Preparing and reviewing tax computations and returns Liaising directly with HMRC regarding client matters and enquiries Assisting with tax planning opportunities for individuals and businesses Supporting workflow management, deadlines and team development Working closely with the Practice Manager and wider leadership team About You We're keen to speak with experienced practice accountants who demonstrate strong technical capability alongside excellent client-facing skills.
You'll ideally have: Previous experience working within an accountancy practice environment (essential) Strong accounts preparation experience across a range of business entities Audit experience, ideally including planning, fieldwork and completion stages Good knowledge of corporation tax, personal tax, VAT, CIS and PAYE Experience managing a client portfolio Confidence communicating directly with business owners and stakeholders Experience reviewing work and supervising junior staff A proactive, "can-do" approach with the ability to take ownership of your work Professional qualifications (ACA / ACCA) are preferred but not essential for the right candidate Candidates from small to medium-sized independent practices will be particularly well suited to this opportunity.
