We are representing a long-established and growing financial services organisation seeking to appoint an Accounts Assistant to join its finance team. This position plays a key role in supporting the finance function by ensuring accurate processing of financial transactions and maintaining high levels of compliance. The role offers exposure to a broad range of accounting tasks including transactional finance, payroll, and reconciliations.
- Process sales and purchase invoices using Sage while maintaining accurate Excel records
- Manage supplier payments and ensure timely settlements
- Perform bank, sales ledger, and purchase ledger reconciliations
- Record daily client transactions with accuracy and attention to detail
- Support the transfer of client funds in accordance with regulatory requirements
- Carry out daily reconciliations of client accounts
- Assist with the collection of fees and outstanding balances
- Manage petty cash and process cheque payments where necessary
- Maintain well-organised and compliant financial records and documentation
- Prepare payroll for pensions and partners
- Administer PAYE in line with current regulations
- Support year-end payroll processes and reporting
