Are you a part qualified accountant looking to take the next step in your career? We're seeking a proactive and commercially minded Management Accountant to join a growing business and play a key role in delivering high quality financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis.
Working closely with the team, you'll act as a trusted finance business partner, providing valuable insight to support operational performance, cost control, and strategic decision making across the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts, including full P&L, balance sheet reporting, and variance analysis.
- Lead the month-end close process, ensuring accurate, complete, and timely financial reporting.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities, including regular re-forecasts and detailed variance commentary.
- Produce cash flow forecasts and reporting.
- Deliver operational and financial performance reports to support business decision making.
- Maintain and reconcile the fixed asset register, including additions, disposals, and depreciation calculations.
- Act as a key finance contact for operational teams, providing financial support and guidance across the business.
- Support payroll accounting processes and ensure accurate monthly payroll reporting.
- Manage accounting for finance leases, loans, and other financing arrangements.
- Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring all accounts are reviewed and fully reconciled.
- Assist with year-end audit preparation, liaising with auditors and providing supporting schedules and analysis.
About You
We're looking for a motivated finance professional who enjoys working in a fast paced environment and can confidently translate financial information into meaningful business insight.
You'll ideally have:
- Part-qualified status (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent) or be actively studying towards a professional qualification.
- Strong management accounting knowledge, including budgeting, forecasting, month-end reporting, and financial analysis.
- Experience of ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics NAV, Business Central, or similar.
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence analysing large volumes of data.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines within a busy environment.
- A collaborative approach combined with the confidence to work independently.
