My client is a family-run business and one of the UK's leading marquee and temporary building suppliers, who are seeking a full-time HGV Class 1 Driver - Truck Mounted Forklift Operator to join their team operating out of their premises in Worcestershire. This role involves working with a great team, offering excellent rates of pay hourly with lots of potential for overtime.
Purpose of the Role
This is a hands-on role combining Class 1 driving with yard support, helping us deliver and collect marquees, flooring, and event structures to sites across the UK. The events industry is fast-paced and varied — no two days are the same — so we're looking for someone with a great attitude who's happy to get stuck in.
Key Responsibilities of the Role
- Driving
- Drive Class 1 (C+E) vehicles to deliver and collect event equipment across the UK
- Ensure loads are secure, safe, and delivered on time
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects
- Complete delivery notes / paperwork accurately
- Represent the company professionally on-site
- Assist with loading/unloading vehicles
- Help organise and maintain stock and equipment in the yard
- Keep the yard clean, safe, and well organised
- Support prep work so equipment is ready for upcoming jobs
- Assist other teams when required
