We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised individual to support the processing of Subject Access Requests (SARs) on a temporary basis. This is a fully remote role, ideal for someone with experience in data protection, information governance, or administrative casework. You will play a key role in ensuring requests are handled accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with relevant legislation (including GDPR and the Data Protection Act).

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and process Subject Access Requests from receipt through to response
  • Review, redact, and prepare sensitive information for disclosure
  • Liaise with internal departments to gather required records
  • Ensure all deadlines and statutory requirements are met
  • Maintain accurate records and audit trails of requests
  • Apply data protection principles and organisational policies consistently

Skills & Experience Required

  • Previous experience handling Subject Access Requests or working within data protection / information governance is essential
  • Strong understanding of GDPR and data privacy requirements
  • Excellent attention to detail, particularly when reviewing and redacting information
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal

Desirable

  • Experience within the public sector / healthcare / social care (if relevant)
  • Familiarity with case management systems or document review tools
