We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Claims Handler to join a fast-paced and customer-focused business providing emergency and alternative accommodation services. This role is perfect for someone with excellent communication skills and a calm, empathetic approach who enjoys helping others and working as part of a close-knit team. You will manage accommodation claims efficiently, ensuring customers receive the support they need when they need it most.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle claims from initial instruction through to resolution, providing exceptional service throughout.
- Liaise with customers, suppliers, and clients to coordinate suitable accommodation quickly and effectively.
- Ensure service level agreements are consistently met and daily claim boards are accurately updated.
- Contribute to the Out of Hours service on a shared rota.
- Take part in training and regular performance reviews to continuously improve service delivery.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a customer service role.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage time effectively, prioritise tasks, and remain calm under pressure.
- IT literate and confident using systems and email.
