SenioMei Ume restaurant in Four Seasons Hotel London at Tower Bridge is currently looking for a Sommelier to join our Mei Ume Team!
Mei Ume offers traditional Chinese and Japanese dishes with a modern approach. Showcasing two of the greatest Asian cuisines under one roof, the restaurant menu includes a colourful selection of sushi, sashimi and dim sum as well as Chinese main course dishes.Head Chef Peter Ho and his team constantly develop and evolve their unique dishes in the restaurant’s innovative environment.
About the Sommelier role:
We are seeking a talented Sommelier to join our team and work closely with Go Satoyama and the Mei Ume leadership to inspire the Sommelier team. This is a key position that requires exceptional wine and food knowledge, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to deliver an outstanding guest experience. The successful candidate will bring an engaging personality, a proactive attitude, and a commitment to excellence.
What you will do:
- Provide expert wine recommendations and pairings to enhance the guest dining experience
- Create memorable dining experiences for our guests
- Monitor stock levels, manage wine inventory
- Uphold Four Seasons standards in every service
The ideal Sommelier candidate will have:
- Excellent wine and food knowledge with a genuine passion for hospitality.
- WSET level 2 or 3 required
- Previous experience in a similar role within a luxury environment.
- Outstanding personal presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and maintain composure in a fast-paced setting.
- Previous customer-facing experience with a focus on delivering exceptional service.
