The Role

The Assistant Store Manager will support the Store Director in leading the London flagship, driving sales performance, developing the team, and ensuring the highest standards of client service. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering an exceptional luxury experience while supporting the day-to-day commercial and operational success of the store.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Store Director in leading the store’s sales performance and business development
  • Develop strategies and action plans to increase sales and strengthen client relationships, including VIP clientele
  • Analyse daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs and translate insights into targeted commercial action plans
  • Support the recruitment, training, coaching, and development of the store team
  • Motivate the team through regular meetings, target setting, and ongoing performance management
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels and ensure the stock mix reflects sales trends and customer demand
  • Support the day-to-day operational and administrative management of the store, including reporting and cost control
  • Ensure visual merchandising, housekeeping, and store presentation consistently reflect the brand’s luxury positioning
  • Act as a brand ambassador, developing local networks and identifying opportunities to cultivate new clientele

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in a luxury jewellery retail environment, ideally within a flagship store
  • Strong track record of delivering sales results and commercial performance
  • Previous experience in a management or senior sales position, with experience coaching and developing a team
  • Strong knowledge and genuine interest in the luxury jewellery and diamond industry
  • Excellent clienteling and relationship-building skills, with experience working with VIP and high-net-worth clients
  • Strong commercial and business acumen, with the ability to analyse KPIs and develop actionable sales strategies
  • Proactive and entrepreneurial approach, with the confidence to take initiative and drive results
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing team
  • Fluent spoken and written English; additional languages such as Mandarin, Arabic, or Russian would be advantageous
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced luxury retail environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with experience using POS systems
