About the role

We’re seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Casual Fitness Instructor to join our team on a flexible, casual basis. You will play a key role in delivering an outstanding fitness experience for our members and guests, providing professional guidance, maintaining a safe exercise environment, and supporting individuals in achieving their health and fitness goals. This role requires excellent interpersonal skills, a passion for health and wellbeing, and the ability to engage confidently with people of all fitness levels while maintaining a friendly, professional, and proactive approach.

What you will do

• Provide a warm, welcoming, and professional experience for all members and guests using the fitness facilities

• Conduct gym inductions and demonstrate the safe and effective use of equipment

• Deliver fitness support, advice, and motivation to help members achieve their goals

• Monitor the fitness suite to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment at all times

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and presentation throughout the fitness facilities

• Support the delivery of fitness classes and wellbeing activities where required

• Carry out routine health and safety checks and report any maintenance issues promptly

• Ensure compliance with all health and safety policies, procedures, and industry standards

• Assist with member enquiries and contribute to creating a positive and engaging fitness community

What You'll Bring

• Level 2 Fitness Instructor qualification (essential)

• Previous experience working within a gym, leisure, or fitness environment is preferred

• Passion for health, fitness, and delivering excellent customer service

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others

• A positive, friendly, and professional attitude

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Good understanding of health and safety practices within a fitness environment

• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

• Current First Aid qualification is desirable but not essential
