Head of Operations to take ownership of the operational function and help build the infrastructure needed to support the brands next stage of growth.

The Role

This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who combines strong financial and commercial acumen with exceptional operational execution.

You will take responsibility for the brands end-to-end operations, spanning inventory, supply chain, warehousing, logistics, wholesale operations and international fulfilment.

Working closely with Finance, Production, Wholesale and Brand & Growth, you will ensure that stock, cash, costs and operational commitments are managed effectively across the business.

A key priority will be bringing greater visibility, discipline and control to working capital, inventory investment and operational expenditure as the wholesale and international businesses expand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial & Commercial Operations
  • Partner with Finance on cash-flow planning, purchasing commitments, budgets, forecasting and stock investment.
  • Maintain clear visibility of wholesale orders, production commitments, supplier payment schedules, delivery dates and expected customer receipts.
  • Anticipate working-capital requirements and identify potential cash-flow pressures as the business grows.
  • Work with Finance and Production to assess purchasing and intake plans before significant stock commitments are made.
  • Monitor inventory investment and understand where cash is tied up across stock, channels and markets.
  • Understand the P&L and the financial implications of operational decisions.
  • Monitor operational expenditure, including freight, warehousing, fulfilment, duties and returns.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, stock turn, cost control and overall profitability.
  • Inventory & Stock Management
  • Own inventory management and stock accuracy across all sales channels and locations.
  • Maintain a clear, reliable view of stock across DTC, wholesale and marketplaces.
  • Oversee stock allocation and transfers between channels, warehouses and international markets.
  • Work with Brand & Growth, E-commerce and Wholesale to position inventory in line with demand and commercial priorities.
  • Coordinate closely with Production to track incoming stock, delivery schedules and expected availability.
  • Identify and resolve stock discrepancies, excess inventory and wider inventory-management issues.
  • Warehousing, Logistics & International Operations
  • Own relationships with third party logistics (3PL) partners.
  • Oversee inbound stock, inventory accuracy, fulfilment, returns and transfers between locations.
  • Monitor warehouse performance, service levels and operating costs.
  • Manage freight and logistics from factories to warehouses and wholesale customers.
  • Ensure inventory is positioned appropriately across the UK and internationally to support demand and minimise unnecessary costs.
  • Own the operational relationship with Global-e and support the smooth running of international order fulfilment.
  • Partner with E-commerce and Finance to manage international shipping, duties, returns and operational challenges.
  • Wholesale Operations
  • Own the operational processes supporting the brands growing wholesale business.
  • Work closely with Wholesale, Production and Finance to manage order books, stock allocations, delivery schedules and customer requirements.
  • Ensure wholesale orders are fulfilled accurately, efficiently and on time.
  • Oversee retailer operational requirements, including shipping documentation, delivery specifications and customer portals.
  • Ensure wholesale commitments are accurately reflected in inventory planning, purchasing decisions and cash-flow forecasts.
  • Production & Supply Chain
  • Work closely with Production to manage critical paths, production milestones, delivery dates and stock intake planning.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of production lead times, minimum order quantities (MOQs), costing and supplier constraints.
  • Ensure a clear, coordinated flow from production completion through freight, warehouse intake and final stock availability.
  • Identify potential supply-chain delays or risks early and proactively drive solutions.

About You

  • Significant experience in fashion operations, ideally within a growing luxury or premium brand.
  • A strong understanding of both wholesale and DTC business models.
  • Excellent financial and commercial awareness, including cash flow, P&L, budgeting, forecasting and inventory investment.
  • Proven experience managing inventory, supply chains and third-party logistics providers.
  • Experience overseeing international logistics and, ideally, UK and international warehousing operations.
  • A good understanding of fashion production, supplier relationships and production critical paths.
  • Confidence working cross-functionally with Finance, Production, Wholesale and E-commerce teams.
  • Experience with international e-commerce operations
  • Experience working in an entrepreneurial, founder-led or high-growth environment.
  • Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.
