As a Casual Security Officer, you will actively support the day to day security operation of the hotel, helping to ensure the safety and security of guests, employees, and the property. You will work across a variety of security duties, maintaining a visible and professional presence while supporting access control and monitoring activity throughout the hotel.
What you will do:
- Support daily security operations across the hotel
- Monitor and control staff and contractor access through the employee entrance
- Issue and manage employee ID cards, name badges, and lockers
- Patrol hotel areas and observe activity to ensure safety and security standards are maintained
- Monitor CCTV and access control systems
- Respond appropriately to incidents, emergencies, and guest enquiries
- Work collaboratively with hotel departments to support smooth operations
- Follow health and safety procedures, risk assessments, and incident reporting processes
What you bring:
- Current SIA license holder
- Experience in surveillance, access control, or CCTV monitoring
- Knowledge of health and safety and basic risk assessment principles
- First Aid, CPR, or fire safety training is advantageous
- Good level of spoken and written English and basic computer skills
- Calm, professional, and approachable manner
- Flexibility to work varying shifts on a casual basis
- Right to Work in the UK
