As our Junior Sommelier, you will support the Sommelier team in delivering an engaging and elevated wine experience for our guests.
Responsibilities:
- Support the wine service during lunch and dinner to deliver a seamless and memorable guest experience.
- Assist with wine recommendations that reflect guest preferences.
- Support the upkeep of the wine list in collaboration with the Head Sommelier.
- Participate in team training sessions to help strengthen wine knowledge across the restaurant.
- Monitor correct storage practices and assist with stock rotation and inventory.
- Engage with guests in a confident and approachable manner, sharing your developing passion for wine.
Qualifications:
- Some previous experience in a wine focused role within a fine dining or luxury hospitality setting.
- A developing understanding of international wines and food pairings.
- A positive attitude with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A genuine passion for hospitality and guest experience.
- Eagerness to learn and grow within the sommelier profession.
- WSET Level 2 or working towards a qualification, or an equivalent certification.
- The right to work in the United Kingdom is required.
