We're seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Casual Commis Chef to join our kitchen team on a flexible basis. This is a great opportunity for someone passionate about food and eager to develop their culinary skills within a professional and supportive environment. You will play an important role in supporting the kitchen brigade, ensuring dishes are prepared to a high standard while maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient workspace. The role requires attention to detail, a willingness to learn, and the ability to perform in a fast‑paced kitchen environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of dishes in line with recipes and standards
- Support senior chefs with daily kitchen operations
- Ensure all food is prepared, presented, and stored correctly
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in all kitchen areas
- Follow food safety, health, and safety procedures at all times
- Assist with stock rotation and deliveries as required
- Keep workstations clean, organised, and fully stocked
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to deliver smooth service
Qualifications
- Previous kitchen or hospitality experience is preferred but not essential – full training provided
- A genuine passion for food and willingness to learn
