About the location:
Set in the heart of the City, overlooking Tower Bridge and the Tower of London, Tower Bridge is the starting point for discovering London\’s historic past, alongside its exhilarating present. As impressive inside as out, this famous five-star hotel remains the centre of attention, as a new chapter begins in its history. This beautiful grade II listed building and former HQ of the Port of London Authority has 100 rooms, 41 residential apartments of which 31 units are in a FS run transient rental program, a stunning ballroom which has hosted the inaugural Reception of the United Nations, 5 meeting rooms, a stunning destination spa with 8 treatment rooms, hammam, steam, sauna and swimming and vitality pool, and a fantastic Food and Beverage offering including Mei Ume (Chinese/ Japanese cuisine) and Rotunda (all day dining, afternoon tea & bar).

Four Seasons Hotel London at Tower Bridge are looking for a Shift Engineer to join our team
What You Will Do
As a Shift Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining the hotel\’s facilities to the highest standards. Your duties will include:

  • Implementing and managing preventative maintenance of all equipment and updating maintenance logs
  • Diagnosing and repairing equipment including motors, starters, breakers, chillers, and associated systems throughout the building
  • Responding promptly to guest maintenance requests in rooms and public areas
  • Being familiar with and responding to emergency procedures such as fires and power failures
  • Cleaning engineering stations, grease traps, and plumbing stoppages, while maintaining an organized department
  • Installing or relocating equipment as needed
  • Supporting energy conservation programs within the hotel
  • Installing electrical and mechanical systems for renovations and exhibits, and maintaining those setups

The Ideal Shift Engineer Will Have

  • Previous experience in this role within a 5 star luxury environment
  • The technical knowledge and expertise to provide electrical and general repair and maintenance to motors, starters, breakers and associated equipment throughout the hotel
  • An awareness of safe working practices
  • Ability to work as part of a dedicated and passionate team
  • Strong communication skills with a good level of written and spoken English
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to working hours

Schedule And Hours
This position operates on a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern, with each shift lasting 12 hours. Candidates must be flexible and available to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and overnight shifts as required to support the needs of the hotel.
