About the location

As impressive inside as out, this famous five-star hotel remains the centre of attention, as a new chapter begins in its history. This beautiful grade II listed building and former HQ of the Port of London Authority has 100 rooms, 41 residential apartments of which 31 units are in a FS run transient rental program, a stunning ballroom which has hosted the inaugural Reception of the United Nations, 5 meeting rooms, a stunning destination spa with 8 treatment rooms, hammam, steam, sauna and swimming and vitality pool, and a fantastic Food and Beverage offering including Mei Ume (Chinese/ Japanese cuisine) and Rotunda (all day dining, afternoon tea & bar).
Four Seasons Hotel London at Tower Bridge is looking for a Commis Chef for our main kitchen, which will include our new Signature Restaurant Opening in 2026. Please note that this role is expected to commence in early February 2026.
The Commis role
As a Commis Chef, you will play a vital role in supporting the culinary team with the daily preparation and production of high-quality dishes across a variety of outlets. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, luxury environment while developing your culinary skills under the guidance of experienced chefs. This kitchen is responsible for Rotunda Lounge & Bar, In-Room Dining, Banqueting, and our new Signature restaurant.
What you will do
- Assist with the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes in accordance with Four Seasons standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and kitchen equipment.
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations, including HACCP and COSHH protocols.
- Support senior chefs in mise en place and service during busy meal periods.
- Ensure consistency and quality in every dish served.
- Participate in stock rotation and proper storage of ingredients.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
What you bring
- Previous experience in a professional kitchen, ideally within a luxury hotel or fine dining environment.
- A passion for fresh, high-quality ingredients and a desire to learn and grow in the culinary field.
- Basic knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen hygiene practices.
- Food Hygiene Certificate (CIEH Level 2 or equivalent) preferred.
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
